I’m in Las Vegas for the first time!     It’s hard to believe I’ve never been here before, and it’s true.      We are staying at the Venetian, which is a beautiful hotel.   The lobby is great, with a sculpture of the world as a focal point    Then you see the beautiful colonnade, which transforms you back to Italy.     It is all hand painted, and gorgeous.     There was a musician playing the accordion strolling around, adding to the wonderful ambiance of the hotel.

Of course you have to walk through the casino to get to your room, and you hear all the sounds of a casino, the bells ringing, machines talking to you, people clapping when the machine hits, wheels spinning etc.    I love it!    We go to our rooms, unpack our bags, look at the beautiful view from the our room, then go and meet our friends in the lobby for some gambling!!     We sign up for our Grazie reward cards then hit the casino.    They have some games there that I’ve never seen before,  and lots of different choices.     The table games are in full gear, with most seats occupied.    I’ve never played table games before,  only  the slot machines.    Tonight I’m going to play blackjack at the tables.    Wish me luck!   Oh wait, my Mom always says you should never say good luck to a gambler, that’s bad luck.    What do I know?
