Touring Vegas

Vegas is definitely all that it’s advertised to be.     It really is a neon city.    Next time I want to go to Freemont Street and see the older casinos lit up at night.    It was great during the day but I’m sure it’s spectacular at night.   It’s been a fun filled two and a half days in Vegas so far.     What have I accomplished so far:

  • Gambled
  • Shopped at the Grand Canal Shoppes
  • Bought pastries from Carlo’s Bake Shop (from Cake Boss)
  • Walked part of the strip
  • Visited the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (for you Nick)
  • Visited the M&M Shop
  • Walked through the Freemont Street Experience
  • Played blackjack at a table for the first time (won $32!)
  • Ate dinner at some fabulous restaurants (Grand Lux, Trattorria Reggiano, Tao Asian Bisto)
  • Enjoyed walking through other casinos (Treasure Island, Mirage, Palazzo, Harrah’s)

There are so many other things that I want to do but tomorrow is my last day here.   I’m leaving at 8:00 am to fly to Pittsburgh to visit my Mom and my son.   I will definitely have to come back to see everything else I missed.    Maybe I have to come more than once!

Now I’m going back down to the casino for a little slot machine playing before dinner.    Who knows what else is going on tonight – remember, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”!
